A NEW ACADEMIC YEAR AROUND THE CORNER

The 2008/09 academic year has come to a close, and the new year is just around the corner.  2009/10 will see a few new changes.  Due to reclassification of the Title I Program at the local level, Lee Intermediate is now a Title I School.  Parents will receive information and meeting dates during the beginning of the school year.  

Due to continued growth, Lee Intermediate will welcome at least one new teacher to the third and fourth grades for next year.  Staffing should take place around the first week of July.  Fourth grade will have two new teachers added to their team.  Three of the six teachers will experiment with teaming (students will not travel).  This should be exciting and rewarding for these students.  

Policies and procedures will be the same, except for uniforms.  Please check the website or visit the school for a new policy if you have misplaced the one sent home via the report card.  Changes are minor but will be reinforced the first week of school.  

Registration for new students has been set for the 27th and 28th of July.  Registration will start at 9:00 and last until 2:30 each day.  For information on what is needed for registration, call the school or visit http://www.mcpss.com/.
